CASE HISTORY
Nehemiah Wall For A Residential Home In Taman Melawati, Kuala Lumpur
Client : Private Owner
Completion : 2005
Nowadays, land cost is getting higher especially in urban areas like Kuala Lumpur. A private residential house situated on a hilly area requires the back slope be steepened by means of a retaining wall so as to maximize the usable land area on top of the wall. Nehemiah wall was opted and constructed along its back boundary with the height of 6.0m and 3.0m slope on top. The construction of Nehemiah wall was fast and easy in terms of site mobilization and installation due to the incremental nature of wall construction.
It imposed minimum disturbance to the neighborhood. In addition to the economic point of view, Nehemiah wall provides aesthetically pleasing finish whereby the combination of plain and "bush hammer" hexagonal concrete facing panels blend well with the surrounding.
